Last April 17, 2016 my daughter and I checked-In at The Coco Palace Hotel in Barangay San Francisco, San Pablo City, Laguna.
The Coco Palace Hotel is just located beside the Max Restaurant along the highway.

I can say that this place is not fit for those choosy travelers. The place is a bit old and you can smell the old ambiance all around. But it is pretty cheap. We only paid Php 2,500 per night with free breakfast. We stayed there for two nights.

The hotel staffs are very friendly and accommodating. As for the payment you need to pay the bill upfront upon checking-in. Check in Time 2:00pm Check out Time: 12nn the next day.

It was nice and cozy. The only thing that may bug you here is the noisy air conditioner. But if you are not that choosy you'll be fine. We had two towels, two blankets and two pillows.

We are lucky that the room with bathtub was still available that time. There is warm and cold shower also.

They also have a swimming pool but unfortunately during our visit it was under renovation so I didn't get the chance to take pictures.
How to get there from Manila:
You just need to ride a bus going to LUCENA - Just go to Gil Puyat (Buendia) for the bus, then tell the conductor to drop you off the Max Restaurant in San Pablo City. They also call it Calihan.
Yesterday December 29, 2016 I went to Eastwood Libis in Quezon City just to see the "Big Christmas Tree" and other Christmas ornaments there. I am from Brgy. Santolan Pasig and in just 2 minutes ride and 5-10 minutes walk I'm already there.
You might say, that's impossible! But as a resident of Brgy. Santolan Pasig it is possible. I will tell you how.
I just went to "Tawiran" (It is a street here in Brgy. Santolan) along the Tawiran street you need to find the Masikap street. It's on the right side. Just walk along it and you'll see a boat at the end of the road. It will take you to Bagumbayan and just from there you need to walk to their Barangay Hall and just walk through your way to Eastwood Libis, Quezon City.

The fee for the boat is Php 5.00 per person. Their operation hours are from 5am until 2am the next day. No Holidays. As in everyday. A lot of people who work in Eastwood Libis are using this transportation because it's cheaper and faster.

I didn't have the chance to see the fireworks as I went there yesterday (Thursday - Weekday). I think the fireworks is only during weekends.
